Yaniv’s story is an immigrant success story!
He comes from a humble home in a small city in the north of Israel. Industrious since childhood, he worked in many industries before determining that he wanted to practice law. This background in maintenance, food service and real estate is incredibly helpful as many of the firm’s clients work in these very fields.
Yaniv left his native country to attend law school at the University of East London in England. He chose this school because of his strong desire to have a deep understanding of the fundamentals of law, and believed he would get that in a country where the legal system dates back to the Magna Carta. Living in a foreign country, he worked his way through school and graduated with honors. He wanted to practice law in the United States, so he moved to New York, studied hard, and was admitted to the state bar.
Having a practical business background and being bilingual made Yaniv an asset to the law firms he worked for during his early years in New York. Eventually, though, his industriousness motivated him to form his own law firm, Lavy Law Associates, where he focused on immigration law and became a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
In 2006, Yaniv merged his firm with the Law Office of Michael Feiner, another immigration attorney with Israeli roots, to form Feiner & Lavy. Since that time, he has continued to maintain and operate the practice in a manner that reflected both his own values and those of Michael Feiner, a respected immigration attorney.
Today, as the Managing Partner of Feiner & Lavy, Yaniv continues to be deeply involved in immigration law and has also expanded the firm into the personal injury area. He has brought aboard lawyers with exceptional experience and continues to build the firm’s client base and excellent reputation.
