Douglas Emanuel is New York through-and-through. A native of the city and a product of its schools, Douglas always had his sights set on a law career. He earned his undergraduate degree at City College, and was admitted to the respected Brooklyn Law School, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, was a member of the school’s Law Review, and won numerous academic awards.
Douglas came to Feiner & Lavy as an attorney with substantial experience in the field of personal injury law. He has a successful career in trials involving defective products, construction accidents, motor vehicle injuries, medical malpractice, and many other areas. He has also been involved in labor law and business law, making him a terrific asset for clients whose cases are not perfectly straight forward and cross into other areas of law.
In his career, Douglas has earned a reputation by taking and winning cases that the other guys turned down. Where they saw a road too tough, Douglas saw clients who needed someone to give them hope, believed in their stories, and could harness the legal system’s ability to right a wrong. Because of his success, Douglas was sought after by law firms around New York to tough cases.
Douglas is a masterful legal analyst and strategist. He has an uncanny ability to develop a winning legal strategy by analyzing his opponent’s approach and exploiting the deficiencies in their case. This has led to tremendous success. How successful are his results? Douglas is part of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocate’s Club, whose exclusive membership is limited to American lawyers who have obtained numerous multi-million-dollar jury verdicts and settlements.
Because of his association with major cases and large clients, Douglas has been admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Court for both the Eastern and Southern Districts in New York. This is significant because these courts each have their own bar and an attorney must have impeccable character to be admitted to them.
Among the major clients Douglas has represented in his career are such corporations as Yamaha, Kubota Tractor and Alco Industries. Douglas has also worked with such leading New York law firms as Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker, The Law Office of Aaron J. Broder, and Jonathan C. Reiter Law Firm, all prominent personal injury practices.
